BOM Scale 2/3 Eligibility Criteria 2025
The Bank of Maharashtra recruitment 2025 will hire Generalist Officers in Scale II. The applicant must be 25 to 35 years old.
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 60% marks. For SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates, the minimum is 55% marks.
Bank of Maharashtra Educational Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Scale II posts are indeed different from those for higher scales. The Bank of Maharashtra has announced a variety of Specialist Officer positions in Scale II, such as IT Infrastructure, Database Administrator, Mobile App Developer, Forex, Risk, Legal, Chartered Accountant, and more.
Each of these posts comes with its own specific educational qualifications, certifications, and experience requirements.
For example, the Manager – IT Infrastructure (Scale II) role requires candidates to have a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electricals, MCA, or M.Sc. (IT) with at least 60% marks. In addition, they must hold CompTIA certifications (Server+ and at least one from ITF+, A+, Network+, or Cloud+).
A minimum of three years of experience in IT or BFSI as an Infra Administrator is necessary.
The Manager – Legal (Scale II) role demands a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB). Candidates should have at least three years of experience as a practicing advocate or working in the legal department of banks or financial institutions.
Similarly, for the Manager – Forex (Scale II) post, candidates must be graduates with a minimum of 60% marks along with certification in Forex or Trade Finance. Additional qualifications such as CDCS (Certificate in Documentary Credit Specialist) or CITF (Certificate in International Trade & Finance) are desirable.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience in Forex or Trade Finance.
The Manager – Risk (Scale II) position, on the other hand, is open to graduates in any discipline, provided they hold professional certifications like FRM, PRM, CA, CFA, or an MBA in Finance.
The degree must be from a recognized university or an institution approved by the Government of India.

For the Bank of Maharashtra Scale II Generalist Officer recruitment 2025, the candidate must be at least 25 years old and not more than 35 years old as on 31 March 2025.

Bank of Maharashtra Work Experience
For the Bank of Maharashtra Generalist Officer Scale II post, the notification clearly states that candidates must have at least 3 years of work experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
This work experience is a mandatory requirement in addition to the educational qualification. Without it, you are not eligible for the Scale II post.
