AFCAT EXAM 2020 NOTIFICATION

AFCAT-I EXAM notification has been released in December and the exam will be held in the month of February 2020, where as the notification for AFCAT-II will be out in the month is June, the exam of the same will be held in the month of August. AFCAT EXAM 2020 EXAM PATTERN

In order to crack the exam, the very first thing candidates must do after looking at the eligibility criteria is to analyse the AFCAT Exam pattern. This will give them a clear understanding about the AFCAT exam. A candidate can make a strategy according to the AFCAT exam pattern and by following it, he/she will be able to crack the examination. AFCAT exam is a one day exam followed by the SSB(Interview). The AFCAT exam pattern consists of mainly four sections and those are: General awareness, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Military Aptitude Test and Logical Reasoning. There is an additional AFCAT written exam for the candidates who wants to apply for technical post in Ground Duty. They have to give a test named as EKT( Engineering Knowledge Test). To apply for a technical post in AFCAT, a candidate must hold a technical degree in among these three branches i.e. Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Computer Science). AFCAT EXAM 2020 SYLLABUS

Before start preparing for the AFCAT examination, a candidate must go through the AFCAT exam syllabus first, a syllabus gives an idea about the whole examination and also the sections/topics involved in it. In AFCAT examination syllabus four sections are involved which further have subsections, the mains sections that are included in the AFCAT Exam syllabus are: English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and Reasoning/MIlitary Aptitude. A candidate will be judged on the basis of aptitude in these sections. A candidate having a good grip on English and General Awareness will have an upper hand in the AFCAT exam.

AFCAT EXAM 2020 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The aspirants who are willing to apply for any post under AFCAT examination , should first have to ensure that they are eligible for the respective post. AFCAT EXAM 2020 AGE LIMIT

Flying officers must be in between 20 to 24 years of age whereas a Ground duty officer( Technical and Non- Technical) needs to be in between 20 to 26 years of age. AFCAT EXAM 2020 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

AFCAT EXAM 2020 requires different educational qualification for different posts.   • You should be a Graduate with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Meteorology You should have a Post-Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/Statistics/Geography/Computer Applications/Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/Oceanography/Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/Ecology & Environment /Geo-Physics/Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).

AFCAT EXAM 2020: MARITAL STATUS OF CANDIDATE

Other than the age limit, nationality and educational qualification, the marital status of a candidate is also one of the important aspects to look at before applying for the AFCAT 2020 examination. Following are some criteria required for a candidate in order to apply for the exam: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of course. Widows/Widowers and Divorcees that are below 25 years of age are not eligible to sit in the AFCAT examination.

Candidates that are married and above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during their training period they will neither provided married accommodation nor can they live out with family.

AFCAT EXAM 2020 EXAM DATES

The official notification of AFCAT-II exam 2020 is expected to be released soon. Until the official notification for the same releases , it is advisable for the candidates to do not just sit but start preparing for the examination. AFCAT EXAM 2020: SALARY

Being a part of the Indian Air Force is not only a matter of pride but it also comes with a sense of responsibility. One of the reasons candidates find this job pleasing is that the Indian Air Force provides a handsome salary to their commissioned officers along with various other allowances.

There are basically three posts that comes under AFCAT:

  • Flying Officer.
  • Ground Duty(Tech.)
  • Ground Duty( Non-Tech).

The pay scale of each of the post differs from each other as structured by the Indian Air Force. A flying officer has a pay band of approximately ( 15000-36000) along with various allowance provided by the IAF such as Dearness allowance, Military service pay,Travel allowance, Grade Pay, Kit maintenance etc.

Based on the nature of duty and place of posting ,officers are eligible for the other allowance as well such as: allowance based on type of duty such as Fyling, Technical and Field Area, allowance based on place of posting like Flying, technical field area and special compensatory ( Hilly Area).

After the successful completion of AFCAT assessment, AFCAT salary of commissioned officers based on their post area is as follows.

  • Flying branch salary- 85,000 approx.
  • Ground Duty( Tech) salary- 74,000 approx.
  • Ground Duty( Non-Tech)- 71,000 approx.

Other allowance like Flying allowance and technical allowance are 11,000 approx and 2500 approx. respectively.

AFCAT EXAM 2020: HOW TO APPLY

Aspirants need to take utmost care while filling out the application for AFCAT-II. Any incorrect details will lead to cancellation of the applicants selection.   • Now click on the “NOT REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE “ link.
  • Now a candidate needs to create a login id . He/she will receive a system generated password.
  • Sign in with Login and system generated password.
  • Candidate can reset the password and login again.
  • Click on Selection entry: a candidate needs to choose between the two (a) AFCAT (b) NCC special entry.
  • Now click on “ Application form Filling” and start filling the form.
  • First fill in your personal details and then “ save and continue”.
  • Now you need to fill your Qualification Details” again save and continue.
  • Now comes Course preference, in this the candidate have to choose the course he/she wants to pursue.
  • Communication details need to be filled by the candidate for any further communication purposes.
  • Applicant have to upload documents like Sign And thumb impression( size of each jpg/jpeg must be between 10kb to 50kb)
  • A candidate needs to choose the examination centre from where he/she wants to give the exam.
  • At last, a candidate needs to click on the “ Declaration” and then click on the Save and Continue.
  • After that a candidate needs to make payment which is to be made through online only.
  • A fee of rupees 250 will be applicable for the candidates other than( NCC Special entry and Metrology, women candidates and SC/ST candidates along with some others).
  • After successful payment a registration number will be displayed a candidate needs to save it for further process.

AFCAT EXAM 2020: ADMIT CARD

Soon after you fill out the application form, AFCAT will release a link to download the AFCAT admit card. Candidates can login from their respective Login ID and password and they will be able to download the AFCAT admit card which will show the examination date along with examination time and examination centre.
