AFCAT Highlights 2024

To become a part of the Indian Air Force is a matter of pride and a dream of many aspirants. Thousands of candidates apply for the AFCAT exam to become a part of this elite group of Gazetted A officers but only a handful of them can make it to the final merit list. AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is a national level defense entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air force to recruit young aspiring candidates for various levels of posts such as Flying Officers, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Gazetted officers. The AFCAT exam is conducted two times a year and is named AFCAT-1 and AFCAT-2.

The AFCAT-1 notification 2024 has been released by the Indian Air Force. The online registration will commence on December 01 and close on December 30, 2022. AFCAT Notification 2024

AFCAT-2 notification 2024 has been finally released by the Indian Air Force. The application window is active from June 1, 2022, and will remain active till June 30, 2022. FAQs

The AFCAT age limit varies for different posts. If you are applying for the Flying branch, you must be between the ages of 20 to 24 years as on January 01, 2024. On the other hand, if you are applying under the Ground Duty (Technical/Non-technical), you must be between the ages of 20 to 26 years as on January 01, 2024.
The Indian Air Force has announced 258 vacancies for the post of Flying Officers, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Gazetted Officers.
For the AFCAT 2023 exam, you need to cover four sections- General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning & Military Aptitude Test.
