followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: Some cycle are car. Each cycle is gear. No gear is train. Conclusions: I. No cycle is train. II. Some gear are car. III. All car are gear.
A Both conclusion I and conclusion II follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only conclusion I follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Neither conclusion I nor conclusion II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Both conclusion I and conclusion III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E All the conclusion I, II and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Each cycle is gear (A) + No gear is train (E) → No cycle is train (E). Hence conclusion I follows. Some cycle are car (I) → Conversion → Some car are cycle (I) + Each cycle is gear (A) → Some car are gear (I) → Conversion → Some gear are car (I). Hence conclusion II follows but conclusion III does not follow.
