    In the question below some statements are given followed by three conclusions I, II, and III. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts.     Eye is a Hand. Only a few Hand is Leg. Conclusions: I. All Legs can never be Eyes. II. All Ears can never be Hands. III. Some Legs can be Ears.

    Solution

    No Eye is a Hand (E) + Only a few Hand is Leg (I) → Some Leg are not Eye (O*) → Probable conclusion → All Leg can never be Eye. Hence conclusion I follows. Only a few Ear are Eye (I) + No Eye is a Hand (E) → Some Ear are not Hand (O) → Probable conclusion → All Ear can never be Hand. Hence conclusion II follows. Only a few Ear are Eye (I) + No Eye is a Hand (E) → Some Ear are not Hand (O) + Only a few Hand is Leg (I) → Probable conclusion → Some Leg can be Ear (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
