    In each question below are given some statements followed by four conclusions numbered I, II, III and IV are given. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts. 

    Statements: Some monitors are keyboard.      

                          All keyboard are laptop.                             Some laptop are computer                              Some computer are mouse. Conclusion:   I. Some monitors are computer.                        II. Some monitors are laptop.                        III. Some laptop are keyboard.                        IV. No computer is monitor

    Solution

    Some monitors are keyboard(I) + All keyboard are laptop(A) ⇒ Some monitors are laptop(I) + Some laptop are computer(I) ⇒ No conclusion. Hence conclusion I and IV does not follow but they will make a complementary pair. Hence either conclusion I or IV follows. Some monitors are keyboard(I) + All keyboard are laptop(A) ⇒ Some monitors are laptop(I). Hence conclusion II follows. All keyboard are laptop.(A) ⇒ Conversion ⇒ Some laptop are keyboard (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
