double the age of C after 15 years. The current age of B is three times the current age of C. What is the current age of A?
A 25 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 30 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 15 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 20 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      A is 25 years younger than B. A = B – 25 ………. (I) Age of B would be double the age of C after 15 years. (B + 15) = 2 (C + 15) B + 15 = 2C + 30 ……… (II) The current age of B is three times the current age of C. B = 3C …….. (III) By solving equ (II) & (III), we get: 3C + 15 = 2C + 30 C = 15 yrs From equ. (III), B = 3C B = 3 x 15 = 45 yrs By substituting B age in equation (I), we get: A = B – 25 A = 45 – 25 A = 20 yrs.
