    In the question below there are three statements followed by two conclusions I and II. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts.

    Statements: Only a few solutions is answer.

    None of the answer is reason. No reason is an application. Conclusions: I. A few answer being application is a possibility. II. No solution is a reason.

    Solution

    None of the answer is reason (E) + No reason is application (E) → Probable conclusion → Some answers may be applications (I). Hence conclusion I follows. Only a few solutions is answer (I) + None of the answer is reason (E) → Some solutions are not reasons (O). Hence conclusion II does not follow.
