      long in 8 sec and 20 sec respectively. Find the time taken by the train to cross another platform having length 250 meters.

      Solution

      Let the length of the train be ‘x’ meters. According to question, => x/8 = (x + 300)/20 => 20x = 8x + 2400 => x = 200  The speed of the train = 200/8 = 25 m/s Required time taken by train to cross another platform = (200 + 250)/25 = 18 sec
