Question
A sum of Rs. 2,100 is distributed among three persons P,
Q, and R in the ratio 3:2:5. If the same sum had been distributed in the ratio 5:2:3, then how much more money would P have received?Solution
ATQ,
Original amount received by ‘P’ = Rs. 2100 × (3/10) = Rs. 630
Amount received by ‘P’ according to the new ratio = Rs. 2100 × (5/10) = Rs. 1050
So, required difference = 1050 – 630 = Rs. 420
