Question
A total of Rs. ‘K’ was to be distributed among L, M,
and N in ratio of 2:5:3 respectively but due to some reason the money was falsely distributed in ratio of 3:5:2 respectively such that N received Rs. 3600 less. Find the value of 2K.Solution
Let the total amount [K] be Rs. 10x
So, amount which N was supposed to receive = 10x × (3/10) = Rs. 3x
Amount which was actually received by N = 10x × (2/10) = Rs. 2x
ATQ,
3x - 2x = 3600
⇒ x = 3600
Also,
K = 10x = 10 × 3600 = Rs. 36000
Therefore, required value,
2K = 2 × 36000 = ₹72000
