Question
A sphere has a volume of 11304 cm³. What is its total
surface area? (Use π = 22/7)Solution
ATQ,
Let the radius of the sphere be 'r' cm.
Volume = (4/3) × π × r³
So, 11304 = (4/3) × (22/7) × r³
⇒ r³ = (28×28×28)/8
⇒ r = 28/2 = 14 cm
Now, surface area = 4 × π × r²
= 4 × (22/7) × 14²
= 4 × (22/7) × 196
= 1232 cm²
