Cost price of 12 kg potatoes = 40×12=Rs.480
Quantity of potatoes sold = 1.25×12=15 kg
Selling price of 12 kg of potatoes sold = (1.18×40)×15=Rs.708
Required profit = 708−480=Rs.228
