Let cost price of article A is Rupees X. So cost price of Article B = Rs. (3500-x) Selling price of Article A = 0.80*2.4*x=1.92x Selling price of Article B = 0.72*(3500-x)= rs. (2520-0.72x). So 1.92x = 2520-0.72x+252 X=1050 Cost Price of Article A = rs. 1050 Cost Price of Article B = 3500-1050 = Rs. 2450 Desired difference = 2450-1050 Â Rs. 1400
