A Neither I nor II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Both I and II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Only I Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      From I: Marks scored by A and B = (18% + 5%) × 540 = 124.2 Marks scored by D = 18% × 540 = 97.2 Difference = 124.2 – 97.2 = 27 Statement I is true.   From II: Required ratio = 18: 24 = 3:4 Statement II is correct.   Therefore both the statements are correct.
