So, time taken by leakage alone to empty the tank = 16/ (2 – 1) = 16 hours
Time taken by 3 taps to fill the tank = (8/3) hours
Time taken by 2 leaks to empty the tank = 16/2 = 8 hours
Therefore, required time taken = [(8/3) × 8]/ [8 - (8/3)] = 64/16 = 4 hours
