Number of textbooks purchased = 15000 X 0.20 = 3000
Number of textbooks distributed = 3000 X 0.75 = 2250
Number of reference books purchased = 15000 - 3000 = 12000
Number of reference books distributed = 12000 X 0.50 = 6000
So, total number of books distributed = 2250 + 6000 = 8250
