ATQ, Let monthly income of Sahil be Rs. ‘x’ Amount spent on education = Rs. 0.10x Amount spent on entertainment = Rs. 0.20x Amount spent on rent = Rs. 0.15x Amount spent on travelling = Rs. 0.40x Amount spent on food = x – (0.10x + 0.20x + 0.15x + 0.40x) = Rs. 0.15x According to the question, 0.40x – 0.15x = 8000 0.25x = 8000 x = Rs. 32,000 Amount spent on entertainment = 20% of 32,000 = Rs. 6,400
