Question
A and B started a retail store with initial investments in the ratio 6:7 and their annual profits were in the ratio 4:5. If A invested the money for 7 months, then for how many months did B invest his money?Â
Solution
Suppose A invested Rs. 6x for 7 months and B invested 7x for y months then, ⇒  (6x × 7)/(7x × y) = 4/5 ⇒  y = (42x × 5)/(7x × 4) ⇒  y = 210x/28x ⇒  y = 7.5
