number to second number is 3:5 and the ratio of second number to third number is 5:7. Find the second number.Solution
ATQ, Let the second number be '5x'. So, first number = (3/5) x 5x = '3x' And, third number = (7/5) x 5x = '7x' According to the question, 3x + 5x + 7x = 150 Or, 15x = 150 So, 'x' = 150/15 = 10 Therefore, the second number = '5x' = 5 x 10 = 50
