      rest is milk. If 100 liters more water added in vessel, then quantity of water becomes 40% of mixture. Find the quantity of milk in the vessel?
      A 300 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 150 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 144 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 240 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Let total mixture in vessel be Q liters.
      Initial quantity of water in vessel = 0.25Q
      And, quantity of milk in vessel = 0.75Q
      (0.25Q + 100)/0.75Q = 40/60
      15Q + 6000 = 30Q
      15Q = 6000
      Q = 400 l
      Quantity of milk in vessel = 400 × 75/100 = 300 l
