    Question

    Point (4, 5) is the centre of a circle. A point (9, 11)

is lying on a circle. Find the area of the circle.
A 58π unit² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 62π unit² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 45π unit² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 61π unit² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    In the figure (4,5) is the centre of the circle. ∴ Radius (r) = √((4-9)^2+(5-11)²)     = √(25+36) = √61 ∴ Area of the circle = πr² = π(√61)² = 61π unit²
