Question
The monthly incomes of Ramesh, Suresh, and Dinesh are in
the ratio 6:4:5. Their savings are in the ratio 3:2:2. If Suresh saves Rs. 12,000 which is 40% of his income, what is the expenditure of Dinesh?Solution
ATQ,
Income of Suresh = 12000 ÷ 0.4 = Rs. 30,000
So, income of Dinesh = 30000 × (5/4) = Rs. 37,500
Saving of Dinesh = 12000 × (2/2) = Rs. 12,000
Expenditure of Dinesh = 37500 - 12000 = Rs. 25,500
