Question
A, B, and C earn a total of Rs. 88,800 per month. A spends
75% of his salary, B spends 70%, and C spends 65%. Their remaining savings are in the ratio 9:10:12. Calculate Cβs monthly income.Solution
ATQ;
Let the monthly savings of A, B, and C be Rs. β9xβ, Rs. β10xβ, and Rs. β12xβ, respectively.
So,
Monthly income of A = (9x/0.25) = Rs. β36xβ
Monthly income of B = (10x/0.3) = Rs. β33.33xβ
Monthly income of C = (12x/0.35) = Rs. β34.29xβ
ATQ;
(36x + 33.33x + 34.29x) = 88800
Or, 103.62x = 88800
So, x = 856.9
Therefore, monthly salary of 'C' = 34.29x = 34.29 Γ 856.9 = Rs. 29,399
