A 9:13 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 9:22 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 14:9 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 7:9 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

Let number of female staff in hotel B be ‘x’. Number of male staff in hotel B = 2x Number of female staff in hotel A = 1.2x Number of male staff in hotel A = 40 Number of male staff in hotel C = 40 + 20 = 60 Number of female staff in hotel C = 110 - 60 = 50 Number of female staff in hotel A is 12 less than that of male staff in hotel B. => 1.2x = 2x – 12 => 0.8x = 12 => x = 15 Number of female staff in hotel B = x = 15 Number of male staff in hotel B = 2x = 30 Number of female staff in hotel A = 1.2x = 18 Number of male staff in hotel D = (30 + 60)/2 = 45 Number of female staff in hotel D = (36 × 2) – 18 = 54 Total number of staff in hotel B = 30 + 15 = 45 Total number of staff in hotel C = 60 + 50 = 110 Required ratio = 45:110 = 9:22
