Question
The average salary of A, B, and C is Rs. 30000 and the
average salary of D and E is Rs. 25000. If the savings of A is 40% of the average salary of all five persons, then find the salary of A which is Rs. 16000 more than his savings.Solution
ATQ,
Total salary of all the five persons = 30000 × 3 + 25000 × 2 = Rs. 140000
Average salary of each person = 140000 ÷ 5 = Rs. 28000
Savings of A = 40% of 28000 = Rs. 11200
So, required salary of A = 11200 + 16000 = Rs. 27200
