● Statement 1 is correct: The Vice-President may be removed from his office by a resolution of the Rajya Sabha by a majority of all the members of the upper house and agreed to by the Lok Sabha. No such resolution shall be moved unless at least fourteen days’ notice has been given of the intention to move the resolution. ● Statement 2 is incorrect: Article 68(2) of the Constitution provides that an election to fill a vacancy in the office of Vice-President occurring by any reason shall be held as soon as possible. It is further provided that the person elected to fill the vacancy shall be entitled to hold office for the full term of five years from the date he enters upon his office. ● Statement 3 is incorrect: The joint sitting of the Parliament is called by the President. The hierarchy to preside over the joint sitting of Parliament are as follows: The Speaker of Lok sabha The Deputy speaker of lok sabha The Deputy chairperson of Rajya sabha If any of the above officers are not present than any other person as may be determined by the member present at the joint sitting , Presides over the meeting.
