In order to prevent drop - outs after two years when COVID - 19 has disrupted the teaching and learning process, the Tripura state ’ s Education department will again launch the ‘ go to school ’ programme with a new scheme ‘ earn with learn ’. Under The Scheme : The department will conduct comprehensive door - to - door surveys to identify children out of school by engaging third year or final year college students . The Education department had already sent letters to all principals of government degree colleges to enroll their final year interested students for the survey and if any college student able to bring a drop - out student into their school, then he or she will get about Rs . 500 per student . The department will also engage the services of Anganwadi and ASHA workers for identification of all drop - out students and a school teacher can also contribute their best to bring a drop - out children into school, for this scheme a teacher will be given honorarium of Rs . 200 for each children . The department as a pilot project will start a nutritious breakfast scheme in the inspirational district Dhalai to cover 51,688 school students from class I to VIII, for this pilot project the department utilizes a sum of Rs . 5 . 94 crore in a year .
