NAFED E-Kisan Mandi is- 1) An electronic trading platform With physical infrastructure at each proposed location in Partnership with local Farmer Producer Organisations (fpos) . 2)  The e-Kisan mandi has both physical & virtual infrastructure 3)  The mandis are made at the farm gate, bringing buyers to farmers 4)  The NAFED E-Kisan Mandis will be operated by fpos.

○ NeKM or NAFED E-Kisan Mandi is an electronic trading platform with physical infrastructure at each proposed location in partnership with local Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) . Salient features of NeKM ○ The e-Kisan mandi has both physical & virtual infrastructure . ○ The physical infrastructure will include a digital platform with auctioning facility, pack-house (including sorting-grading, packing and pre-cooling facilities), warehouse and cold storage if required. ○ The mandis are made at the farm gate, bringing buyers to farmers
