Convergence between Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Ministry of Rural Development for the PM-FME scheme ● Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME) is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Food Processing (MoFPI). ● It is to be implemented over a period of five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25 with an outlay of Rs 10,000 crores. ● Recently, the MoFPI and Deendayal AntyodayaYojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) have agreed to work together on the PM-FME scheme. Recently, capacity building component of PM-FME was launched. The assessment and certification of the training program would be provided by FISCI.
