संबोधन कारक “ जिस संज्ञापद से किसी को पुकारने, सावधान करने अथवा संबोधित करने का बोध हो , 'संबोधन' कारक कहते हैं।” संबोधन प्रायः कर्ता का ही होता है, इसीलिए संस्कृत में स्वतंत्र कारक नहीं माना गया है। संबोधित संज्ञाओं में बहुवचन का नियम लागू नहीं होता और सर्वनामों का कोई संबोधन नहीं होता, सिर्फ संज्ञा पदों का ही होता है।

उपयुक्त वाक्य में हम देख सकते हैं की, इश्वर को सम्बोधित करके बोला जा रहा हैं की सबकी रक्षा करो तथा इस वाक्य में विभिक्ती चिन्ह (हे) का प्रयोग हो रहा है, अतः यह वाक्य संबोधन कारक का उदाहरण है।
