    About me

    Mrs. Gunjeet Kaur is a former Adviser, International Department at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) with 36+ years of experience in central banking, monetary policy, and international financial relations. She joined RBI as a Research Officer (Grade B) in 1988 and served in multiple key roles during her distinguished career. During her tenure at RBI, she worked across important departments including the International Department (as Director and later Adviser) and the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR). She also served on deputation with the External Debt Management Unit at the Ministry of Finance, contributing to critical policy work related to India’s external debt and financial stability. She represented the Reserve Bank of India at major global forums such as the IMF, World Bank, BIS, and G20, and has contributed extensively to policy discussions on monetary policy, global financial architecture, and the Indian economy.
