UIIC AO Selection Procedure 2023

The selection process for all disciplines, except doctors, will be based on the combined performance in the Online Examination and Interview. However, for doctors, the selection will exclusively rely on the interview stage, eliminating the need for a written test. Prospective candidates intending to participate in this opportunity should acquaint themselves with the exam pattern for UIIC Recruitment 2023. The examination process will encompass two stages: an Online exam followed by an interview. The subsequent sections detail the exam pattern for the online examination.

Please note: As already clarified, there is no online written exam for Doctors, so, all further references of “all streams” shall exclude doctors.

UIIC AO Exam Pattern 2023 (For All Streams)

The online examination for UIIC AO will adhere to the pattern outlined in the table below. In each section, a set of 25 questions will be presented, carrying a maximum of 25 marks each. However, the technical and professional knowledge section relevant to the respective discipline will encompass 50 questions, contributing to a total of 100 marks. The UIIC AO Exam 2023 will be allotted a composite time duration of 2 hours. It's important to note that candidates will face a penalty for inaccurately marked answers, where one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect response.

UIIC AO Exam Marking Scheme

For all the subjects, except the test of Professional Knowledge, each correct answer will be awarded with 1 mark. For the questions in the Professional Knowledge section, each right answer will fetch you 2 marks. Providing an incorrect answer will result in a penalty of one-fourth of the marks allocated to the respective question. Please note, that unanswered questions will not carry any penalty. This is why, you are advised against making random guesses in the exam.

Interview

Candidates who successfully clear the Competitive Online Written Examination will be invited for an interview, with the number of candidates up to three times the total vacancies within their respective categories/disciplines. The ultimate selection will be determined by the combined performance in the online objective test and the interview. Interviews will be held at designated centers.

Outstation candidates attending interviews will be eligible for reimbursement of second-class rail fare/bus fare, incurred by the shortest route from their place of residence to the interview location, provided they furnish evidence of their journey's purpose. It's important to note that candidates who are called for interviews but fail to meet the eligibility criteria (such as age, educational qualification, etc.) will neither be allowed to participate in the interview nor be eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses. Candidates summoned for interviews must submit attested copies of certificates as per the specified details during the interview process. These certificates will validate aspects such as age, date of birth, educational qualifications, and community affiliation, among others.
