UBI Credit Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024

If you would like to send in your application for the upcoming UBI SO 2024 recruitment cycle, then you need to make sure you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the UBI SO notification 2024 before moving through with the UBI Credit Officer application process. Your application will be canceled if you do not meet the UBI Credit Officer eligibility requirements 2024 for Scale 2. You must also fulfill additional requirements, such as the UBI SO nationality and age limits. The upper age limit may be relaxed for candidates who fall under one of the reserved categories. The eligibility cut-off date for age criteria is set as the first day of the month in which online registration begins, i.e., February 01, 2024. On the other hand, for the educational qualifications, the cut-off date is the last day of online registration, which is February 23, 2024.

UBI Credit Officer Educational Qualifications

The UBI SO educational qualification requirements for the post of Credit Officer Manager (MMGS-II ) have to be fulfilled before you apply for the UBI SO Credit Officer exam. The cut-off date for the educational qualification and post-qualification work experience is February 23, 2024. Essential: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a University / Institution recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. (Minimum 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates)

Note: Candidates having professional qualification like MBA (Finance) / CA/ ICWA/ CFA/ FRM/ CAIIB from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies will be preferred.

 Post Qualification Work Experience in processing of credit proposals as an officer in MSME/Corporate Credit in any Scheduled Public Sector Banks/ Scheduled Private Sector banks for a minimum period of three (3) years is mandatory.

UBI Credit Officer Age Criteria

Like the educational criteria, the UBI SO age criteria also have to be fulfilled. Please note the cut-off date to satisfy the UBI SO age requirement is February 01, 2024. Please check the table below for more information.

Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) –

a. Visually Impairment (VI) - Blindness and Low Vision;

Orthopedically Challenged (OC) - Locomotor Disability (One Arm - OA, One Leg -OL, Both Legs -BL, One Arm & One Leg -OAL), Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy; d. Intellectual Disability (ID) - Intellectual Disability (Autism In case of dual specializations, one of the fields of specialization should be in the field prescribed.

In case of major/ minor specializations, major specialization should be in the stream prescribed. Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specializations are not eligible to apply. Candidates should ensure that the educational qualification and work experience possessed by them shall be as per the prescribed educational qualifications and work experience mentioned in the advertisement and they fulfill the above eligibility criteria. No equivalent educational qualification shall be considered for eligibility. 5 Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness) & Multiple Disability; e. UBI Credit Officer Nationality

A candidate applying for the UBI SO exam 2023 must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
