In addition to other government allowances, Junior Intelligence Officers are eligible to receive a Special Security Allowance equivalent to 20% of their basic pay. They may also receive cash compensation for performing duties on holidays, up to a maximum limit of 30 days.

Appointment
Initially, the appointment to the post of JIO-II/Tech will be temporary.
