DSSSB SO Notification 2024
The DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board) has released its notification for the post of Section Officers (SO) Horticulture for two departments, i.e., Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). The DSSSB SO (Horticulture) notification 2024 was released on December 26, 2023, and eligible candidates can apply for this post from January 09, 2024, till February 07, 2024.
The MCD (Municipal Corporations of Delhi) and NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Council) both departments work under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT), and DSSSB is exam conducting agency that conducts recruitment drives for organizations under GNCT. MCD is among the three municipalities of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, whereas the NDMC administers the area under the New Delhi and Delhi Cantonment Board and is elected by the natives of New Delhi.

The vacancies announced for the MCD department are 89, and NDMC SO (Horticulture) vacancies are 19. Furthermore, these vacancies are yet again distributed among various categories, including Unreserved, SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and PWbD. Please note that:
- OBC candidates classified as "CREAMY LAYER" are not eligible for OBC reservation and age relaxation. They should identify themselves as GENERAL category candidates.
- Reservation in different categories will be in accordance with the current Government Guidelines when the results are finalized.
- EWS vacancies are provisional and depend on additional directives from the Government of India and any legal proceedings. The appointment is tentative and contingent upon the verification of the Income and asset certificate through the appropriate channels.
How to Apply for the DSSSB SO (Horticulture) Exam 2024?

- Click on ‘APPLY ONLINE’, which will redirect you to a new screen.
- Complete the process of One-time Registration on the official website of the DSSSB (dsssbonline.nic.in) by entering the correct required details. Please note that details entered in the process will be null and void for your further application procedure. Make sure you enter all the details correctly and carefully. After the completion of this process, you will get a user name and password to use it for logging in on the website for future requisites.
- Log in with the system-generated registration number and password and fill in your application form.
- After successfully entering all the details, click on SAVE and NEXT options to verify the details you have entered.
- Candidates will be asked to scan and upload a photo, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
- After fully verifying the details, click on the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON to submit your application. Please note that no modification will be done to the final submission.
- After verifying all the details, it is now time for the payment. The candidate now needs to process and make the payment. After the payment, click on the submit button.
Instructions/Dimensions for uploading documents
To upload your photo ID online, follow these guidelines:
Make sure you have a digital copy (scanned image) of your photo ID. The scanned image must meet the specified requirements provided below.
Photograph:
- The photograph should be colored, recent, and passport-sized
- Dimensions: 300 x 200 pixels
- The size of the file should be 15kb-60kb
PAN/Driving License:
- Dimensions: 200x 300 pixels
- The size of the file should be 15kb-60kb
Voter Card:
- Dimensions: 450x 350 pixels
- The size of the file should be 15kb-60kb
Signature
- The signature needs to be done with black ink
- It should not be done with capital letters
- The size should be between 10KB-20 KB
DSSSB SO (Horticulture) Application Fee
After registering successfully, you must pay the application fee for the DSSSB SO (Horticulture) Exam. The non-refundable fee for DSSSB SO Horticulture is INR 100 and shall only be paid online. You can do it from January 09 to February 07, 2024. It's crucial to pay within this time to submit your application for the DSSSB SO (Horticulture) exam.
Women candidates and individuals from the Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, PwBD, and Ex-serviceman categories do not have to pay the application fee.
However, ex-servicemen who have already found regular employment in the civil sector under the Central Government, Government of NCT of Delhi, or its Autonomous/Local Bodies after benefiting from ex-servicemen reservation for re-employment are not eligible for fee concession.

Please note that:
Those submitting their application online must pay the fees exclusively through SBI e-pay; any other payment method will result in the rejection of the application, and the payment made will be forfeited. Once paid, the application fee is non-refundable in any circumstances.
DSSSB SO Horticulture Admit Card
The admit card is a crucial document that allows entry to the exam hall. DSSSB will make the admit cards available for download on its official website shortly before the exam date. Candidates should regularly check the website and notifications for updates on admit card release. It's important to download the admit card within the given time frame and before the deadline to avoid disqualification from the examination.
The candidate's participation in the exam is temporary and depends on any directions or decisions from a court. Just receiving the Admit Card or attending the exam doesn't guarantee any claim for the post. The ID proof provided by the applicant will be verified during the exam and when submitting the e-dossier if shortlisted. Additionally, the ID proof will be included in the Admit Card.
