Highlights 2024
The National Testing Agency or NTA was established by the Ministry of Education as an independent, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The NTA will be responsible for conducting efficient, transparent and international standardized tests to ascertain the competency of various candidates for admission to higher education institutions.
For this reason, the NTA has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Common University Entrance Test (PG) 2024 for all Central Universities. The CUET (PG) 2024 will be held for admission into PG programmes in Central Universities for 2023-24. Eligible candidates can apply for the CUET (PG) 2024 between March 20 to April 19, 2024. The exam date of the CUET (PG) 2024 will be announced later on the official website. Take a look at the table below for more details.

Notification 2024
The National Testing Agency will be conducting the CUET (PG) 2024 exam for admission into PG programmes in Central Universities for the academic year of 2023-24. You can apply for the CUET (PG) 2024 between March 20 to April 19, 2024. The CUET (PG) exam dates 2024 will be notified later. Furthermore, the CUET (PG) 2024 admit card will be released a few days prior to the exam.
How to Apply
Given below is the step-by-step CUET (PG) 2024 application procedure.
- Visit the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in/.
- Click on ‘Registration for CUET (PG)-2023’.
- Fill in the required details mentioned in the form.
- Note down the system-generated Application Number and create your Password.
- Login again and fill the remaining details like name, email-id, contact details, etc.
- Upload the relevant documents:
- Scanned photograph between 10kb to 200kb
- Scanned signature between 4kb to 30 kb
- Preview your application form before clicking on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Proceed to pay the application fee through the online mode.
- Take a printout of the Application form for future reference.
Application Fee
After submission of the application form, you will be directed to the payment portal, wherein you will have to pay the CUET (PG) 2024 application fee as per your category. Please note that your application form will be considered incomplete unless you pay the exam fee. Furthermore, the application fee will be accepted through online mode only. Note:
- You can apply for 03 Test Papers by paying the application fee stated above.
- You can further apply for up to 07 Test Papers by paying an additional fee of Rs. 500/- (General applicants) and Rs. 400/- (OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS/SC/ST/Third Gender/PwBD Applicants) per Test Paper for PG programmes.
- Candidates choosing Test Centres outside India will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 5,000/- irrespective of the category they belong to for up to 03 Test Papers.
- Lastly, an additional fee of Rs. 1500/- per paper has to be paid for applying for additional Test Paper.
Exam Pattern 2024
The CUET (PG) 2024 will be conducted in three shifts. The CUET (PG) exam pattern 2024 will consist of a Computer Based Test based on only domain-knowledge questions. Candidates can choose maximum of four question paper codes and there would be no General Test with each paper. Candidates can choose General paper as a subject. The comprehension part of these papers will be bilingual and can be taken in the language as chosen by the candidate. Language papers will be presented in the respective language, except for Linguistics, which will be in English. M.Tech/Higher Sciences papers will be exclusively in English. Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya's papers will only be in Sanskrit. Humanities, Sciences, and Common papers will be bilingual, featuring both English and Hindi.The English version will be considered final for all questions in the question papers, except for the Languages and Acharya sections.
The question paper will have 75 questions for a total of 300 marks and the exam duration will be of 105 minutes (1 hour 45 minutes). Each question will carry 4 marks and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers. The CUET (PG) exam pattern 2024 is given in the table below.

Exam Dates 2024
The NTA is all set to hold the CUET (PG) 2024 exam for admission into various Central universities. You can apply for the CUET (PG) 2024 between December 26, 2023 to January 24, 2024. Last date to remit the application fees successfully will be January 25, 2024. The website will be open for correction in particulars of application form from January 27 - 29, 2024. The CUET (PG) exam dates 2024 is from March 11, 2024 to March 28, 2024. Furthermore, the CUET (PG) 2023 admit card will be released by March 07, 2024, well prior to the exam. Exam Centres
While filling the online application form, candidates will get an option to select two cities of their choice based on their Permanent/Present address. Please note that any request to change the exam centre will not be entertained by NTA after final submission of the form. So, please be very careful while choosing your preference. Furthermore, for administrative/logistic reasons, NTA reserves the right to allot a different centre.

Age Criteria
To be eligible for this exam, you must have passed the bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2023. Furthermore, there is no age limit criteria for the candidates applying for the CUET (PG) 2024 exam. However, the candidates will be required to meet the age limit criteria of the University in which they are interested in taking the admission. Furthermore, Indian Nationals belonging to reserved categories will be admitted under the seats that are reserved for them as per the Government of India rules.
