Swedish chemist and philanthropist, Alfred Nobel designed his will in 1895 wherein a large part of his fortune was to be used to establish the Nobel Prize. The Nobel Prize is awarded to individuals who show exceptional merit in their fields. Nobel Prizes are awarded in the fields of Literature, Medicine (or Physiology), Chemistry, Economics, Physics and Peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
