Happy 77th<\/sup> Independence Day<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The date 15th<\/sup> of August 1947 <\/strong>is a very important day in Indian history. It is the day when India woke up with freedom and became independent after lots of hard struggle and sacrifices of thousands of freedom fighters. Commemorating the nation\u2019s independence from British rule, India will celebrate its 77th Independence Day<\/strong> this year. Though every year Independence Day is celebrated with great pomp and show and the honourable PM delivers a speech from the historic monument RED FORT. Also, each state invites its Governor or CM as chief guest to unfurl the tricolour National Flag. Besides this, each school and college have their own chunk of celebration with plays, songs, dance and remembrance of those people who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this year owing to the ongoing Coronavirus or\nCOVID-19 pandemic, there will be no social gatherings and all states and\ngovernment offices have been asked to webcast their events and celebrations.\nEven at the Red Fort where our honourable PM delivers speech followed by\nspectacular performances by military bands will be restricted and limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some places also have Kite flying event associated\nwith Independence Day. People symbolise their patriotism by using the flag in\ndifferent sizes and also decorate their homes and belongings with the colours\nof the national flag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Brief History of India\u2019s Independence Day<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Indians suffered domination of the British colonisers for approx. 200 years. Britishers control over India was gained by the victory of English East India Company at the Battle of Plassey. Indian history is full with various events of retaliation and uprisings that eventually drove the Britishers out and forced former viceroy, Lord Mountbatten<\/strong>, to free India on August 15, 1947,<\/strong> after giving the mandate to transfer the power to Indians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally on the eve of 15th<\/sup> August 1947<\/strong>, first PM of independent India Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru<\/strong> unfurled the tricoloured National Flag at the Red Fort in the National Capital, New Delhi. <\/strong>The day also marked the partition of British-ruled India into two countries, India and Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Importance of Independence Day Celebration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Independence Day holds a very important and special\nvalue in every Indian life. It reminds us of the sacrifices of our valiant\nfreedom fighters who stood up against the colonisers Britishers, suffered harsh\nconsequences unflinchingly, so that the future generations could breathe in\nfree air. Also the story of valour and struggle of our great leaders, who claiming\nback our country after slaving for 200 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a great day to pay tribute to Our Freedom Fighters<\/strong> who struggled for our country to make us free. It is on this day that every individual of the country pays tribute to them. This day fill us with the feeling of patriotism and love for our country. There is no work done on this day. In various offices, school and colleges, employees, students and professor deliver speeches to enlighten people about the freedom struggle and efforts made by freedom fighters to make India an independent nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The youth of any country has the ability to change the nation. As said that the future depends on the young generation. So being an Indian it is our duty to serve the nation and make every possible effort to make our country better. One of the main motives for the celebration of Independence Day is to make youth aware of the struggle behind this independence and also to kindle patriotism to serve the nation<\/strong>. Also to make youth aware of the history of their country and the way the development has taken place in the past years so that they are serious about their future careers and put efforts on the individual front to make India better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
