Eligibility criteria (read this twice)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Citizenship.<\/strong> Indian citizens are eligible, and certain other categories (Nepal\/Bhutan subjects, specified Tibetan refugees and Persons of Indian Origin) may apply with an appropriate Govt. of India eligibility certificate<\/strong> where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Age. For JMGS-I, the age range is 20\u201330 years as on 1 August 2025 (born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2005, both dates inclusive). Statutory relaxations apply: SC\/ST 5 yrs, OBC-NCL 3 yrs, PwBD 10 yrs, 1984 riots 5 yrs, and certain Ex-Servicemen 5 yrs (see the fine print for conditions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education & experience. You need a graduation degree from a recognized university and at least 18 months of regular service in the Officer cadre of a Public Sector Bank or Regional Rural Bank by 04 September 2025. Reservation & documents. Reservation is as per Government norms. OBC candidates must present a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the Central List; EWS candidates need a valid Income & Asset certificate. Salary, benefits, bond, and probation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Selected LBOs are appointed in JMGS-I with a scale of pay \u20b948,480\u20132,000\/7\u201362,480\u20132,340\/2\u201367,160\u20132,680\/7\u201385,920. At joining, you get +3 increments in the scale as per the applicable Joint Note. If you already hold JAIIB\/CAIIB, those increments are protected. You\u2019ll receive DA, HRA\/leased accommodation (as per rules and posting), CCA, medical, LTC, terminal benefits, and other perquisites as per policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a service bond: the bond amount equals three months\u2019 gross salary in JMGS-I; the bond period is 3 years, and the probation period is 6 months. Plan your move knowing this lock-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selection process and exam structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The selection flow is Written Test \u2192 Screening \u2192 Personal Interview \u2192 Final Merit \u2192 Local Language Proficiency \u2192 Final Selection. That means you must clear each<\/strong> layer, not just the written test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online exam has 120 questions, 120 marks, 120 minutes, and four sections: English Language (30 Qs, 30 mins), Banking Knowledge (40 Qs, 40 mins), General Awareness\/Economy (30 Qs, 30 mins), and Computer Aptitude (20 Qs, 20 mins). The medium is English for English Language and English\/Hindi for the other sections. You must meet sectional and overall cut-offs to be shortlisted. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR\/EWS and 35% for Reserved categories; the bank may change the qualifying criteria based on overall performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final merit list combines scores from the written test and interview. If multiple candidates sit on the cut-off, age (descending) is used to rank them. Interview details, including venue and date, arrive via email; interviews are conducted at New Delhi, unless specified otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local language proficiency is mandatory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Because the role is local and branch-facing, you must read, write and understand the specified language of the state you applied for. A language test is conducted before joining. If you studied that language as a subject in Class 10 or 12, and can produce the mark sheet\/certificate, you won\u2019t need to take the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application fee and mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The application is online only and the fee is non-refundable. SC\/ST\/PwD: \u20b9100 + taxes + gateway charges; General\/EWS\/OBC: \u20b9850 + taxes + gateway charges. Candidates bear the transaction charges for online payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply correctly (uploads, formats, and common mistakes)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While filling the form, you\u2019ll get separate upload links for photo, signature, left thumb impression, and the handwritten declaration. Preview each image and fix any blurs or smudges before final submission\u2014your application won\u2019t be registered without these uploads in the right slots. The bank prescribes JPG\/JPEG, minimum 200 dpi, and clear placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The handwritten declaration must be written by you in English, on white paper with black ink, sized about 800\u00d7400 px at 200 dpi (10\u00d75 cm) and 50\u2013100 KB. Don\u2019t use CAPS. The exact text to copy is provided in the notification\u2014use it verbatim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be extra careful that your signature on exam day matches the uploaded signature; mismatch will lead to disqualification. Upload each item in its correct place\u2014photo where photo goes, signature where signature goes\u2014or you may be barred from the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam centres and test-day identity checks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You cannot request a change of centre\/date\/session. The bank may add, cancel, or re-allot centres. You appear at your own risk and expense; any misbehaviour can lead to disqualification from this and future exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carry your call letter plus valid photo ID bearing the same name as on the call letter (acceptable IDs include PAN, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter ID, Bank Passbook with photo, Government\/PSU\/University ID, Aadhaar\/e-Aadhaar, or Employee ID). Ration Card and Learner\u2019s Licence are not accepted. For name changes, carry original Gazette\/marriage certificate\/affidavit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PwBD, scribe and compensatory time provisions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PwBD candidates who meet the criteria may use a scribe (from a different academic discipline), with undertakings from both candidate and scribe; 20 minutes per hour of compensatory time is provided where eligible. Separate guidelines cover locomotor disabilities\/cerebral palsy, visual impairment (with magnified font), and intellectual disability; read them closely before the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
