The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars Awards are given every year for artistic and technical merit in the Film Industry. The awards are an international recognition for excellence in cinematic achievements and given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences or AMPAS. The winners are awarded a copy of a golden statuette, called the “Academy Award of Merit”<\/strong>, depicting a knight rendered in the Art Deco style. The awards are given in 24 different categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Recently the 92nd Academy Awards was held on 9th February 2020 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, Los Angeles, US<\/strong>. The event was televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide and covered by American Broadcasting Company<\/strong> or ABC<\/strong> which is a commercial broadcast radio and television network owned by the Disney Media Networks. The award also remembered many talents that lost their lives in the year 2019 and as a touching tribute, Billie Eilish performed the song “Yesterday”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
