            Schemes are launched by the government to uplift the living standard of most vulnerable section of the society so that they have better livelihood options and at the same time they enjoy basic amenities that are essential for living and also to make lives of people residing in the urban area more comfortable. As exams like IBPS PO, FCI manager and RBI GRADE B<\/strong> are approaching it is very important to be well versed with the General Awareness section because it has significant weightage which can help in boosting your score. Here we are providing the government schemes in India launched by the Central Government. As these are recently launched schemes so they constitute one of the important topics and can be asked in the exam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

List of Government schemes 2019 launched by the Central Government:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Atal Jyoti Yojna(AJAY): <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2 of Atal Jyoti Yojna has been launched by the government of India. Phase 1 of the scheme was launched in September for the period of 2016-2018. This scheme was launched in the name of former Prime minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Ministry of New and Renewable energy (MNRE) <\/strong>launched this scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary objective to launch this scheme is to enhance the quality of life by lighting the roads and major markets by implementing solar street lights all over the country. It is a sub-off-grid and decentralized solar application scheme. The implementing agency of the scheme is Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).<\/strong> Under this scheme, 12 W capacity LED will be provided as per MNRE norms. The estimated cost per light is Rupees 25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

States\nthat are covered under the scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Phase 1 of the scheme included states like Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The phase 2 will cover the states like hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Northeastern states like Sikkim.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Islands of Lakshadweep and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The total funding allocated for the scheme is Rupees 583 crores. Two ministries are included in it. 75% of the cost will come from the Ministry of New and Renewable energy and the rest of the 25% will be contributed by Ministries of Parliament of local area development funds (MPLADS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    UDAN 3.0 (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) SCHEME:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This scheme was launched under the Ministry of Civil Aviation (India) <\/strong>by the <\/strong>government of India.<\/strong> The Motto of the scheme is Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik( Let the common citizen of the country fly).<\/strong> The Airports Authority of India<\/strong> is the Implementing Authority for this scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It provides connectivity to un-served and under-served airports of the country through revival of existing airstrips and airports. It has a unique market-based model to develop regional connectivity. It also includes tourism routes in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The main objective of the scheme is to facilitate regional air connectivity to the citizens of the country. This year the ministry has awarded routes under the third phase of the UDAN scheme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    MID-DAY MEAL SCHEME: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme launched by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. <\/strong>The main objective of the scheme is to increase the enrolment and attendance of the children. This will eventually improve the nutritional level among the school children. The target audience for this scheme is school children from class 1st<\/sup> to 8th<\/sup> of government schools, Local body government schools, Special training centres (STC) and Madrasas and makhtas supported by SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN.<\/strong>  This Scheme is launched at two levels: at National level and at State level.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This scheme is launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs.<\/strong> The main objective of the scheme is to provide Pucca houses to the houseless citizens and also to the households living in Kutcha house in rural areas by 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It will be covered in three phases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Phase 1<\/strong>: To cover 100 cities in selected states and UT\u2019s in between April 2015 to March 2017.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Phase 2<\/strong>: To cover an additional 200 cities between April 2017 to March 2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Phase 3<\/strong>: To cover the rest of the cities between April 2019 to March 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The cost of unit assistance to be shared between central and state government in the ratio of 60:40 in the plains and in 90:10 in Northeastern states and Hilly states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme( DDRS)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      This scheme is launched under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment It provides Financial assistance to facilitate the delivery of various services to voluntary organizations\u2019 grants-in-aid to NGOs <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It was first launched in the year 1999\nunder the name of \u201cScheme to promote voluntary actions in persons with disabilities\nand was revised and renamed as Deendayal disabled rehabilitation scheme (DDRS).\nThe cost norms of 1999 remained unchanged even after the revision in 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The main objective of the scheme is to create equal opportunities, equity, social justice and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. It is a Central Sector Scheme<\/strong> of Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      SHREYAS(Scheme for Higher Education youth in apprenticeship and skills) SCHEME: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      This scheme is launched by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development<\/strong>. The main objective of the scheme is to provide employability by introducing the employment courses for students. There are three ministries that took initiative for this scheme and those are as following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Ministry of Human Resource Development<\/strong>: introduction of BA\/BSc\/B Com (Professional) courses in the higher educational institutions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship:<\/strong> National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Ministry of Labour & Employment:<\/strong> National Career Service (NCS) It will be implemented by the Sector Skill Councils (SSCs).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        \n\nIt aims to cover 50 lakh students by 2022. The Central Government will share 25% of the stipend per month, to a maximum of Rs.1500 per month during the period of the apprenticeship. This is covered under the NAPS scheme.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        YUVA VIGYANI KARYAKRAM (YUVIKA): <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        This program is launched by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization)<\/strong> for school children studying in class 9th<\/sup> standard. A special weightage will be given to the students belong to the rural areas. This program is called Young Scientist programme <\/strong>or YUVIKA.<\/strong> The main objective of the program is to provide basic knowledge of space and technology to the students and arouse their interest in emerging areas of space activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
