IBPS SO AFO: Eligibility Queries
Q: Can a student who has earned a degree in Veterinary Sciences apply for the IBPS SO AFO exam?
A: Yes, you are eligible to apply.
Q: Are there any eligibility relaxations for the reserved categories?
A: Yes, all age and educational relaxations will apply for the reserved groups.
Q: I am born in April 1991, am I eligible to apply?
A: No. The official notification clearly states that eligible candidates must be born on or after November 2, 1991 and on or before November 1, 2001.
Q: I am a recent graduate with no work experience. Am I eligible?
A: Yes, the official notification does not demand candidates to have any work experience to apply for the AFO post. You are eligible so long as you satisfy the education criteria.
Q: I will graduate in 2022, am I eligible to apply?
A: No. It is imperative that all final results for eligible candidates are declared on or before November 23, 2021. You can try next year.
Q: Are candidates from OBC category belonging to the creamy layer eligible for reservation and subsequent relaxations?
A: No. Only candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer are eligible for reservation. Candidates from OBC category who come from the creamy layer must denote their category as ‘General’ in their application.

Interview
The final stage of the selection entails an Interview.
- Candidates who qualify the Mains examination will be invited for an Interview.
- The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100.
